Eligibility Criteria for SSB Head Constable Recruitment

Age Limit:  

Head Constable (Steward/ Veterinary/ Communication): Age of the candidates must be between 18 to 27 years.
Head Constable (Electrician): Age of the candidates must be between 18 to 25 years.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxations are as mentioned below. 

Educational Qualification: 

Head Constable (Steward): 

Candidates must have passed the 12th class from a recognized Board
A diploma of minimum 2 years in Catering and Kitchen Management from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government
Minimum 1 year working experience as a Steward in a minimum 100-bedded hospital or institution recognized by the Central or State Government

Head Constable (Communication): 

Must have passed 12th class in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board; (OR)
Three-year Diploma in Electronics / Communications / Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized institute

Head Constable (Electrician): 

Candidates must have completed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board. Two years of work experience in the respective trade; (OR)
Must have a certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute (ITI) or Vocational Institute with at least one year of experience in the respective trade; (OR)
Two-year Diploma from a recognized ITI in the respective trade or a similar trade.5) Must qualify for the trade test.

Head Constable (Veterinary): 

Candidates must have completed 12th class with Science and Biology as main subjects from a recognized Board.
Two-year Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development / Veterinary Stock Assistant Course / Animal Husbandry Course from an institute recognized by the Central or State Government.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay a certain amount as application fee depending up on their category. The details are as given below:
