The Assam Inland Water Transport Development (AIWTD) Society has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Environmental Specialist. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply.

Position Details

| Number of Posts | 1 |
| Remuneration | Up to Rs. 130,000/- per month or 20% hike on the existing remuneration (whichever is lower). Salary is negotiable based on qualification, experience, and competency as per AIWTDS HR Policy. |
| Period of Service | Initially till 31-12-2025, with a possibility of annual extensions based on performance until the project’s completion. |
Educational Qualification
- Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in:
- Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), environmental modeling, and preparing Environmental Management Plans.
- Implementing World Bank Environmental Safeguard policies and Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) guidelines.
- Assessing project site issues, vulnerabilities, and risks, and supervising project implementation for environmental impact mitigation.
- Serving as an environmental expert in major infrastructure projects, preferably in the Inland Water Transport (IWT) sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-based data management and report generation.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of Assamese is preferred.
