Dibrugarh University has officially released the notification for the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (B.Ed. CET) 2025 for admission into the 2-Year B.Ed. Programme for the academic session 2025-2027. The B.Ed. CET 2025 is scheduled to be held on 12th July 2025. All aspiring candidates seeking admission into B.Ed. courses offered by the Department of Education and affiliated colleges under Dibrugarh University must appear and qualify in this entrance exam.

The online application process for B.Ed. CET 2025 will commence from 5th May 2025. Eligible candidates can apply through the university’s official admission portal.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Admission 2025

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanities.

• OR

• Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology with 55% marks, specializing in Science and Mathematics.

• Degrees must be from Dibrugarh University or any institution recognized by Dibrugarh University.

Important Notes:

• Candidates with 50% or more in Honours but less than 50% aggregate in all papers of the degree are not eligible.

• B.Ed. CET qualification is mandatory for admission.

Relaxation of Marks:

A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks will be given to:

• SC / ST / OBC / MOBC / PWD candidates

• Candidates with 5 years of teaching experience in a school recognized up to Class 10 by SEBA

• Note: Candidates can claim relaxation in only one category.

• Application Fee: ₹1000/-

• Mode of Payment: Online (Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking only)

3. Register using your name, mobile number, and password. Verify OTP.

4. Login with your mobile number and password.

5. Fill in all personal and academic details.

6. Pay the application fee and submit the form.

7. Take a printout of the submitted form for future reference.

Selection Criteria for B.Ed Admission

Admission will be based on:

1. Common Entrance Test (CET) – 70 Marks

2. Career Performance – 30 Marks

   • Career performance will be calculated as 10% of marks obtained in HSLC, HS, Bachelor’s, and/or Master’s degrees.

   • For example, 53% in Bachelor’s = 5.3 marks.

Institutions will finalize admissions based on CET scores and career marks.

B.Ed CET 2025 Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The B.Ed CET will be an OMR-based exam with MCQ-type questions covering the following:

• Total Marks: 70

• Duration: 1 Hour 30 Minutes

• Time: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
