Eligibility Criteria of IIT Guwahati Faculty Recruitment

 

Age Limit: Preferably the candidates should be below 35 years of age.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation in upper age limit is as mentioned below:

# SC/ST: 5 years
# OBC-NCL = 3 years
# PwD = 5 years (10 years for SC/ST and 8 years for OBC candidates) 

Caste: Candidates must be belong to SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS and PwD category .

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

Assistant Professor Gr I: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. Candidates with at least 3 years of post-PhD teaching/research/ industrial experience may be considered for this post.

Assistant Professor on Gr II: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree in an appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. andidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience may be considered for this post.

# Minimum requirements of qualification and/or experience may be relaxed in respect of exceptionally outstanding candidates.
