Eligibility Criteria for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant

📅 Age Limit (as on 01 Jul 2026)

• 21 to 25 years (born between 01 Jul 2001 and 30 Jun 2005 inclusive)

• Relaxation: 5 years for personnel serving in Coast Guard/Army/Navy/Air Force

📘 Educational Qualification

1. General Duty (GD)

• Graduate Degree from a recognized university

• Must have Maths & Physics as subjects up to Class 12 (10+2+3 pattern)

• Diploma-holders with Maths & Physics in curriculum are also eligible

2. Technical (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)

• Mechanical: B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields like Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, etc.

• Electrical/Electronics: B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, Power Engineering, Instrumentation, etc.

• Must have studied Maths & Physics up to Class 12

• AMIE-qualified candidates in relevant disciplines are also eligible
