Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has officially announced the GNM Admission 2025 notification for the academic session 2025–2026. Eligible female candidates can apply online for admission to General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses in Government and Private GNM Institutes under the Directorate of Health Services, Assam.

To secure admission, candidates must appear for the GNM Entrance Examination (GNMEE) 2025.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria for Assam GNM Admission 2025

🔞 Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 17 years

  • Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 31st December 2025)

  • Note: No age bar for RANM/RLHV candidates.

📚 Educational Qualification (Any One of the Following)

Option Qualification
a. 10+2 with English, 40% marks (preferably Science). Candidates from Open Schools recognized by State/National Govt are also eligible.
b. 10+2 with English and 40% in vocational ANM course recognized by INC.
c. 10+2 with English and 40% in Health Care Science (Vocational Stream) from CBSE/state board.
d. Registered ANM with pass marks.

🏥 Physical & Citizenship Requirements

  • Must be medically fit

  • Must be an Indian citizen

  • PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) is mandatory for admission to Government Institutes in Assam
