The Indian Institute of Management Guwahati (IIM-G) has released a number of employment notifications for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers, Stores & Purchase Officer, Assistant Librarian, Accountant, Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Assistant vacancy under its jurisdiction. IIM Guwahati Recruitment Details

1. Assistant Administrative Officer

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years (No Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen for this particular position.

Educational Qualification & Experience: 

• Master’s Degree in Management, Administration, Commerce, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in academic administration or institutional operations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, documentation, and office management systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
• Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc. would be preferable.

2. Stores & Purchase Officer

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years (No Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen for this particular position.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Management, Administration, Commerce or related field with atleast 8 years of experience in the role of Stores & Purchase.
• Knowledge and experience in Govt./ PSU/ central autonomous bodies in similar roles is preferred.
• It is desirable that the applicant should have the working knowledge of ERP, GeM portal, GFR 2017, FR & SR and relevant central government rules and procedures.

3. Assistant Librarian

Age Limit: Maximum 55 years (No Age relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen for this particular position.

Educational Qualification & Experience: 

• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc) from a recognized University/Institution with NET/SLET/SET qualified.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in academic, institutional, or research libraries.
• Knowledge of library automation software, digital library systems, and e-resource management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and information management systems.

4. Accountant

Age Limit: Max. 40 years as on the last date of application. The Institute provides age relaxation as per GOI rules.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting/Finance. Candidates with M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, ICWA or relevant accounting certifications will be preferred.
• The candidate should have at least 5 years post qualification professional experience in the field of Finance/ Accounts/ Audit Departments.
• Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc./ autonomous body/ PSU would be preferable.
• An excellent knowledge of accounting software or ERP platforms like Tally Prime/Enterprise Resource Planning/SAP tools and fixed asset module is necessary.

5. Junior Engineer (Civil)

Age Limit: Max. 40 years as on the last date of application. The Institute provides age relaxation as per GOI rules.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil, maintenance of infrastructure and campus.
• Similar work experience in reputed educational institutions such as IIMs, IITs etc. would be preferable.

Desired Skills & Competencies: 

• Familiarity with MS Office, and basic project management tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments efficiently.

6. Junior Assistant

Age Limit: Max. 40 years as on the last date of application. The Institute provides age relaxation as per GOI rules.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• Graduation in any field from a recognised university
• Minimum 4 years of administrative experience, preferably working in educational institutions like IIMs, IITs etc.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Understanding and experience of PGP classroom operations.
