Regional News Unit, Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Guwahati has released a recruitment notification for the recruitment of Casual News Reader/ News Anchor, Assistant News Editor, Assistant Website Editor, Broadcast Assistant, Video Editor, CG Operator and Stenographer posts for empanelment as Casual Assignees.
Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati Vacancy Details
Age Limit: 21–40 Years
Essential Qualification:
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Proficiency in the language concerned.
- Camera-friendly face with a voice of very good quality suited to broadcasting.
- Correct pronunciation, accent and modulation.
- Knowledge of current regional/Indian and foreign affairs.
- Acquaintance with names of important personalities in the region/India and abroad.
Remuneration Fee:
- ₹1,650 per day per shift — for a single bulletin including language bulletin.
- ₹1,875 per day per shift — for freshers, for multiple bulletins in a shift.
- ₹2,400 per day per shift — for persons with 3 years’ experience, for multiple bulletins in a shift.
2. Assistant News Editor (Editorial Assistant) (Assamese & English)
Age Limit: 25–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Degree/Diploma in Journalism from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of work relating to news broadcasting/news organization.
Remuneration Fee: ₹2,400 per day per shift.
3. Assistant Website Editor
Age Limit: 21–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Degree/Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication from a recognized university.
Remuneration Fee: ₹2,100 per day per shift.
4. Broadcast Assistant
Age Limit: 21–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- Degree from a recognized University.
- Degree/Diploma in TV & Radio Production from a recognized university.
Remuneration Fee: ₹1,500 per day.
5. Video Editor
Age Limit: 21–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 from a recognized Board.
- Degree/Diploma in Film & Video Editing from a recognized university.
- 2 years’ experience in the relevant field.
Remuneration Fee: ₹1,500 per day.
6. CG Operator
Age Limit: 21–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 from a recognized Board.
- Certificate in Computer Application.
Remuneration Fee: ₹1,125 per day per shift.
7. Stenographer (Assamese)
Name of Post: Stenographer (Assamese)
Age Limit: 21–50 Years
Essential Qualification:
- 10+2 from a recognized Board.
- Speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in computer typing.
Remuneration Fee: ₹1,275 per day per shift.
