(SLRC) for Class III posts has released a recruitment notification for the recruitment of 72 posts of Field Assistant (Statistics)/ Enumerator under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Integrated Sample Survey (ISS)” of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Assam. Please note that, the source of funding for these posts are under 90:10 Sharing Pattern, wherein 90% of the expenditure towards the posts will be borne by the Government of India and the remaining 10% will be borne by the Government of Assam.

Eligibility Criteria of SLRC Assam Recruitment
Age Limit: The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01st January 2026.{inAds}
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

The candidate’s age will be determined based on the Date of Birth mentioned in the HSLC/Class X Pass Certificate or Admit Card issued by a recognized Board or Council. The document must clearly indicate the candidate’s Date of Birth or age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any subject having studied at least a paper of Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/Social Science/ Sociology/ Psychology at Graduate level OR, Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard.
Knowledge of Computer along with comfort in Keying data through handheld device: Candidates must qualify and upload Computer Course Certificate of minimum 6 (six) months duration from a Government recognized Institute.
Candidates possessing Degrees such as BCA, B.Tech in Information Technology awarded by recognized Universities/Institutions and candidates with Engineering Degree having paper/subject on Information Technology/Computer Application are not required to produce a separate Computer Certificate/Diploma. However, they must appear in the Computer skill test if shortlisted in the written examination.
Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must have a valid certificate in the State of Assam.
NOC for Govt. Employees: Candidates already in regular Government service, must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Competent Authority as and when asked.{inAds}

Selection Process of SLRC Field Assistant Posts
Stage I
An OMR based written examination of MCQ type questions with total 175 marks and 3 hours duration will be conducted with following topics/ subjects.

Note:
- Question paper of written examination will be in the following languages – Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo and Hindi.
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers. The negative marking to be awarded for each wrong answer will be equivalent to 1/4″ of the mark(s) allotted for that question.
- Candidates will be shortlisted at the ratio of 1:2 of the vacancy position for next level of examination as per merit and reservations.
Stage II
A computer skill test of 25 marks will be conducted among shortlisted candidates from Stage I written examination.
Final Selection
Final selection will be based on the total marks secured by the candidates in the written examination and computer skill test as per merit and reservations.
