Assam CEE Counselling 2026
Director of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has released the official notification for 2026 Counselling. Assam CEE 2026 Counselling is being held for admission into various B.Tech courses offered by the State Engineering Colleges and other Institutions of Assam. Like previous years’, Assam CEE Counselling 2026 will also be held in online mode.

Courses: 4 year B.Tech courses
Academic session: 2026-2027

Date of 1st round counselling: To be updated
The date of first round of online counselling for admission in to the B. Tech courses of State Engineering Colleges and other Institutions, based on the Common Entrance Examination 2026 will be declared shortly.
Eligibility Criteria to Appear in CEE Counselling
Age Limit: The minimum age of a candidate must be 17 years as on 31st December 2026 .There is no UPPER age limit.
Citizenship: The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam [with a valid PRC of Assam issued by competent authority].
Applicants who are not PRC holders of Assam and wish to be considered for the Central Government Employee (CGE) Quota must submit proof of their permanent residency from the concerned state authorities outside of Assam. (Permanent residents of Assam are not eligible to be considered under CGE quota).
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must secure a minimum of 45% (40 % in case of candidates belongs to reserved category in the subjects taken together) in the Qualifying Examination (10+2 standard) as per AICTE Approval Process Hand Book -2024-2027.
OR
Candidates who have passed 3-years Diploma in Engineering & Technology under the State Council for Technical Education, Assam, with 45% (40% for reserved category) marks in the Final Diploma Examination. [All other eligibility criteria will be same as per guideline]
CEE Score: The Candidate must have a valid rank in the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2026) for admission.
Character: The Candidate must possess a good moral character.
Fitness: The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
Document Required for Assam CEE Counselling
Following scanned documents are required during the form fill up process:
- Scanned copy of age proof as mentioned in the Information Brochure
- ID proof document [Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the Government – Pan Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ 12th Class Board Admit or Registration Card/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With Photograph)/ E-Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No with Photo.]
- Class 10 marksheet & certificate,
- Class 12 marksheet & certificate,
- Diploma /Degree Certificate (if applicable),
- Documents required to avail Govt School Quota (if applicable),
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) or PRC Application receipt (in case if final PRC is not issued yet). An undertaking will have to be uploaded as per format provided if PRC is not currently available.
- Caste/Category certificates (if applicable).
- Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate for applicants applying under OBC/MOBC-NCL quota. The NCL Certificate must be valid till 31st March, 2026.
- EWS Certificate for applicants applying under EWS Quota. Income certificate for the candidates applying under EWS quota. The EWS Certificate must be valid till 31st March, 2026.
- NCC/Sports certificate for the candidates applying under NCC/Sports quota.
- PwD certificate (UDID) for the candidates applying under PwD quota.
- Community Certificate for the six communities (Koch-Rajbongshi, TGLC/Ex-TGLC, Tai-Ahom, Moran, Matak, Chutia) under OBC/MOBC-NCL. (if applicable)
- Relevant certificates for the applicants applying under Central Government Employee (CGE) quota as mentioned in the Information brochure

- A new web page will be opened .
- Login using your CEE-2026 Application No and Date of Birth .
- Update all the necessary details.
- Upload all the necessary documents.
- Fill up all your preferences. Follow the guideline mentioned in the page.
- After re-viewing your form, submit it and take a print out.
- Next, pay the Counselling Fee of Rs. 800/- by clicking on the system generated link.
- Also, keep visiting the CEE Counselling portal regularly till the process is not over .
- Also, don’t forget to take the print out of the submitted application form.
