Central Selection Board, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Diphu has released a recruitment advertisement for the recruitment of 49 Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) Posts under the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, KAAC. Minimum educational qualification for these posts is HSSLC (Science) passed along with one year VFA course  and last date of submission of application is 7th September 2026.

KAAC Vacancy Details

Name of post: Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA)

No of posts: 49 posts

Scale of pay: Pay Band of Rs. 14,000/- 70,000/ + Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time.

Age of the candidates shall be governed by the applicable provisions of the Assam Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Subordinate Rules, 2002 and Government orders time to time. The age of the candidate shall be determined on the basis of the HSLC Certificate/ HSLC Admit Card or certificate issued by a recognised board/ council.
 
Age Relaxation: As per applicable Government rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates need to pass HSSLC (Science) with Biology as a subject .

Professional Qualification: Candidates shall have to successfully completed the One Year Training Course in elementary knowledge Veterinary Science (One Year Training Course) from the recognized “School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry” established by the Govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar.

Physical Standard: A Candidate for Direct recruitment to the cadre of Veterinary Field Assistant under Rule 3 (d) shall be of sound health both mentally and physically and free from any organic defects of bodily infirmity likely to interfere with efficient performance of his duties and require to undergo medical examination before appointment to the service. 

The selection of candidates for VFA posts will be done using following parameters.

The applicant shall enclose a KAAC Money Receipt of Rs.10/- (Rupees Ten) only for ST/SC candidates and Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) only for candidates belonging to other categories, towards application fee. Pl note that, no Bank Draft/Money Order/Cash/Cheque shall be accepted towards payment of the application fee.

How to Apply for KAAC Recruitment ?

The intending eligible candidates shall submit their applications in Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette, duly filled in and accompanied by the required testimonials/documents.

The envelope containing the application should be clearly superscribed: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VETERINARY FIELD ASSISTANT (VFA)”

The applicant shall affix one recent passport-size photograph on the application form and enclose another recent passport-size photograph along with the application. The candidate shall also enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope of size 23 cm * 11 cm bearing postal stamp of Rs. 5/- for communication.

The candidates shall furnish self-attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets and other testimonials declared by them to be true copies of the originals.

Documents to be Produced During Interview

The candidates shall produce the following original documents/certificates at the time of Interview / Viva-Voce / Document Verification or whenever called for by the Central Selection Board:

• HSLC Certificate/Admit Card as proof of age
• HSLC Marksheet
• HSSLC (Science) Certificate and Marksheet showing Biology as a subject
• VFA Training Course Certificate/Certificate of successful completion of the One Year Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
• Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)/Domicile Certificate, as applicable
• Caste/Category Certificate, wherever applicable
• Certificate of physical/medical fitness, wherever required
• Declaration in Form-‘A’ under the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019, wherever applicable
• Recent passport-size photographs; and
• Any other certificate/document as may be required by the Central Selection Board. 

Candidates shall produce the original certificates and testimonials for verification. Failure to produce the required original documents may result in cancellation of candidature.
